Echoes of nursery remain inside me
An abandoned nursery school was my second stop. I was surprised how many authentic things I found there. In addition to the piano there were still colorful undamaged pictures on the walls and dolls and building blocks lined up on the shelves just as children had left them. That is why this composition is based on diatonic melodies. But children in their endeavour to play often come running to the piano and start slapping their palms on the keyboard. Similar situations may well have happened here, so at one point in the piece the melodic line is interrupted by this childish style of playing, intended to evoke the nursery.
