Grand Piano in the Concert Hall

The first instrument I visited was the piano in the Concert Hall. When I entered the large auditorium, water dripped around me. I didn’t know where it was coming from because the sun was shining and it had not snowed; but water flows through many of Pripyat’s buildings. When I first saw this instrument I was convinced it was not going to play. The piano had no upper plate and the keyboard was open and damaged by water. However, to my amazement, it played. The middle part of the composition features pushes and heavy keystrokes. The sound of dripping water has been captured together with the music, and transmits the authenticity of this space.
