In Prague

When I arrived in Prague, I realized what a great impression the Chernobyl zone had left upon me. For several months after visiting it, I continued to process all the experiences I had had there. I thought a lot about the zone and at night I used to dream that I was walking around Pripyat. One morning I suddenly remembered the melody I had played on one of Pripyat’s pianos. Because not all the keys of that instrument had worked, I realised I wanted to know how it would sound on a normal piano. So I recorded the melody later in Prague and melded it with the recordings from Pripyat.
